Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app or on this page. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone: your data disappears from our server, and you would have to collect your municipalities all over again.

In the app

  1. Open the Roamcrown app and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, choose Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE and confirm with Delete account for good.

The app also clears the data stored on your phone right away.

Download your data first

If you want to keep your routes and your list of municipalities, download a copy before deleting your account: in the app go to Profile, Settings, Download my data, or do it on this page after signing in. You get a JSON file with your profile, activities with routes, collected municipalities, badges, titles, friends and the rest of your account data (GDPR, Articles 15 and 20).

What we delete

  • Your account: name, email, profile photo, settings and public profile.
  • All activities with GPS routes and imported workouts.
  • Collected municipalities, badges, points and ranking positions, Ruler titles and their history.
  • Friends, club memberships, feed posts and cheers.
  • Notifications, sign-in sessions and devices registered for push notifications.
  • Visited places, albums, challenges and unlocked discounts.
  • Connections to watches and Strava: we also revoke your consent with the provider (Garmin, Polar, COROS, Suunto, Wahoo, Strava).
  • Your reports, and other people's notifications that show your name.

What stays

  • Contest wins: your place and score stay in the contest results as “Deleted account”, without your name and without any link to your account. The prize organiser has to keep tax records.
  • A club you founded: it passes to the longest-standing member, and an empty club disappears.
  • A Premium subscription bought in Google Play: deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) before you delete your account (Terms § 11).
  • A Premium subscription bought on our website (paid through Stripe): we cancel it ourselves when you delete your account, immediately and with no further payments.
  • Your Google account: it belongs to Google, not to us. You can remove the app's access in your Google account settings.
  • Workouts stored by watch providers: they stay in their services.
  • Backups and server logs: deleted data disappears from them after the period stated in the privacy policy.
  • Data on your phone, if you delete your account here: uninstall the app or sign out of it.
