Get moving. The map fills itself in.

Map of Poland divided into 2,479 municipalities (gminy). Game example: municipalities collected around Kraków, a ride along the Vistula to Gdańsk ticking off the ones on the way, and a gold Ruler title in Wieliczka.

Move the way you always do. Every municipality you pass through lights up on the map of Poland, and you compete with friends and neighbours to rule your own.

Example: everyday rides around Kraków, a cycling trip along the Vistula to Gdańsk and the Ruler title in Wieliczka. 112 municipalities in total.

How it works

  1. You move

Walking the dog, a run after work, a ride at the weekend. Start recording with one tap, or upload a GPX file from your watch.

  2. Municipalities tick themselves off

A municipality counts once your route covers at least 500 m inside it. We use Poland's official boundary register, so there is nothing to mark by hand.

  3. You fight for the title

Every municipality runs a season each month. Whoever has the most points at the end of the month becomes its Ruler, with separate titles on foot and by bike.

A title you have to defend

Your points in a municipality are the number of different days you were active there times the kilometres inside it, with a daily cap. Showing up regularly beats one ultramarathon. On the first of the month everyone starts from zero.

If someone takes the lead from you, you get a notification. You have until the end of the month to win it back.

  1. Ruler of Wieliczka

Most points in the municipality that month. Every one of Poland's 2479 municipalities has its own Ruler, villages included.

  2. Ruler of powiat wielicki

Points from every municipality in the county added up, earned in at least two of them.

  3. Ruler of Małopolskie Voivodeship

Points from the whole voivodeship (Poland's 16 provinces), earned in at least three counties.

Your collection stays

A municipality you have collected never disappears. The counter keeps growing, and the map shows how much of each county and voivodeship you have covered.

Works without signal and never shows where you live

Works offline
Your route is saved on the phone as you go. No signal or an app crash won't wipe it, and municipalities are counted once you are back online.
Routes stay private
Nobody sees your routes. On the share card the first and last 200 m are cut off.
Private profile by default
New accounts start private: strangers see you in rankings as “Private player”. You can change that.
Data kept in the EU
Accounts and routes are stored on servers in the European Union. No ads, and we don't sell data.

Watches and training apps

Already working: GPX files from any watch, workouts from Health Connect on Android. Apple Health and Apple Watch follow on iPhone in the second phase. Older trips can come from your photos, which never leave the phone.

Questions

Do I need a watch?

No. A phone with GPS is enough: start recording and put it in your pocket. If you do have a watch, upload GPX files or workouts from Health Connect. Apple Health on iPhone follows in the second phase.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Your route is saved on the phone as you go, with or without signal. The server counts municipalities and rankings once the phone is back online.

What about my privacy?

Your routes are never public. New profiles start private, and the share card cuts off the first and last 200 m of a route. Location is only used while you record, which you start yourself. Accounts and routes stay on servers in the EU, with no ads.

How much does it cost?

The game is free: recording, ticking off, the map, rankings, titles, friends and clubs. Premium costs 14.99 zł a month or 99 zł a year in Poland and adds the route planner, offline maps, full statistics and rare badges.

What is a gmina?

Poland's smallest unit of local government, somewhere between a town council and a parish. There are 2479 of them; we count them using the official national boundary register.

How are title points counted?

The number of different days you were active in the municipality times the kilometres inside it, with a daily cap. Rankings on foot and by bike are separate. The server rejects GPS jumps and unrealistic speeds, so driving doesn't count.

I already track places I've been. What about my history?

Upload old GPX files or workouts from a health app and the municipalities on those routes join your collection. Older trips can also come from photos: those count towards the collection and badges, not the monthly rankings.

Does it drain the battery?

GPS recording uses battery like any training app. Pausing switches GPS off, and outside recording the app does not track your location.

When does it launch?

Android comes first: we are finishing the Google Play version. The iPhone version follows in a second phase. There's no date yet: join the list and we'll write when the app is on Google Play, and later on the App Store too.

Can I play outside Poland?

At launch the game is played in Poland. Czech municipalities are in progress, and more countries will follow.
